The first time I came here, it kind of blew my mind. Never did I think that a small rooftop garden modeled after Kyoto, Japan existed in downtown LA. But, as it turns out, this place does very much exist, koi pond and all. Who knew?!
Nestled on a top floor of the Double Tree Hotel in DTLA, this rooftop garden is an ideal spot to unwind. With a few cafe tables and trickling water, you will quickly forget about the hustle and bustle of the street noise below.
Bring a picnic or a cup of coffee and stroll around the grounds. Like with the other secret gardens listed, this one is small in size compared to a typical ground level park. It is an urban garden. But, it is just the right amount of fresh plants, trickling water, and Japanese flair to make for a great afternoon hang out.
