Hold on, I get to eat brunch in a greenhouse. WHATTTTTT!
Look, I am in a relationship with food, and it's going really well. I am such a foodie. A huge part of traveling for me is food. I spend endless hours seeking out fun restaurants and cool cafes in new cities trying anything and everything on the menu (within reason of course). In my opinion, food is one of the best ways to understand a culture.
Los Angeles, or Cali rather, has a certain type of food culture with lots of farm to table eateries, endless Baja Taco joints, and tons of hidden asian food gems. Really, anything you could possibly want to eat, you can find in LA and usually it's the best of the best. With that said, I thought I would start sharing some of my favorite little local spots in my city.
For starters, I am a lover of all things brunch mostly because drinking at breakfast is frowned upon. There is honestly nothing a boozy brunch can't fix. So, if you are like me, and are looking for a great afternoon, I suggest stopping by The Commissary at the Line, grab some food and a drink, and then make your way to The Broad Museum. Both experiences make for a perfect Sunday.
I have eaten in quite a few unique places, but the greenery atmosphere here is one of my favorites. I am partial, of course, because I am, in fact, a serious plant lady, but I just adored the mix of an urban rooftop with the greenery ambience. This would-be-greenhouse is a really fun spot to get your brunch game on. Park at the hotel, make your way to the rooftop garden, and then enjoy a lazy Sunday in the hanging gardens. Enjoy!
