a cevicheria lisboa:
A few years ago, I quite literally ate my way through Peru indulging in everything from fragrant chocolates to bowls and bowls of ceviche, their signature dish. None of the ceviche in Peru came close to the unbelievable meal I had at this little Peruvian restaurant in Lisbon.
If you are like me and consider clean eating to be more of eating cupcakes while mopping the floor, then you will be pleased to find out that ceviche is not only delicious, but it is extremely healthy for you!
If you are traveling to Portugal, do yourself a favor and add this to your must try list! Cevicheria is one of Lisboa’s greatest gastronomic treasures. Sitting in a small unassuming spot in one of the city's coolest neighborhoods, the Principe Real, A Cevicheria is well worth the wait. If a table isn't available, request a seat at the ceviche bar which doubles as a great way to see the entire process unfold.
I consider myself an excellent "reheat the oven" chef. Sometimes my reheating is so good even the smoke alarm cheers me on. Needless to say, it was quite a treat to speak with fellow chefs. They answered all of my many questions about the impending raw fish situation and shared a few tips and tricks before handing me these incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared dishes.
If raw fish is not your vibe, not to worry! They also serve various tapas dishes and pisco sours (a traditional Peruvian drink) to cleanse the palette. Anddddddd, most importantly, A Cevicheria Lisboa offers delicious desserts that you just have to try; because hey, let's be honest, you can never be too high on fructose.
